I had the pleasure of making a dress for Lucia over two and a half years ago. She was from the same town I lived in at the time, and the first thing that struck me about her was… not only she and I have the same name, her future husband and my boyfriend are both called Marco!
During the months of making her dress, we ended up becoming fast friends, and I was so thrilled when they became a family of three when their little boy was born last year!
Her dress was entirely custom made for her, blending different designs to concoct her own unique dress
It was made even more personal and special because of the tiny little flowers climbing up the bodice… they were carefully cut from her mother’s wedding dress, and hand stitched on to her hemp bodice.
This tiny touch of color, amidst the dappling light of their mountain location, was very beautiful.
