Echinacea ~ Linen Modern Wedding Dress

I wanted to convey purity and lightness with this design. I chose the fabric first: a silk/linen blend, crisp, opaque, with the most satisfying softly crushed texture. This I paired with the lightest silk chiffon imaginable, also textured and lightly wrinkled.

Then I decided the shape. It needed to be smooth and elongating, without too much structure and bulk. The bodice is lightly V cut, and it has thin spaghetti straps. Carefully seamed and shaped, it is light and soft. It fastens in the back with an invisible zipper.

The skirt is stitched to the dress at the natural waist, and it skims over the body, never clinging but softly following it’s curves. A deep slit opens up the side, revealing the legs and accentuating the light movement of the fabric.

Over the smooth base layer long strands of the silk chiffon flutter and flow. They are carefully hemmed with a clean flat hem. The contrast between the neat linen/silk and the airy silk chiffon is delicious.

A short train trails behind you, without getting underfoot.

It also looks gorgeous with a lace top over it.

• MATERIALS & CARE:
The main fabric is 50% silk, 50% linen. The overlay of the skirt is 100% silk.
Dry clean only. Iron with a lot of steam and on a medium setting. Please test on an inner part of the garment.

The dress is entirely custom made to measure, so it will be sure to fit you perfectly and match your exact needs and requests.

I will use expedited Fedex shipping, that will deliver in about 3-4 workdays in most parts of the world. Please provide a physical address (not a P.O. box) and a phone number in the note to seller.
